‘Koozhangal’ (Pebbles), which was selected as India’s entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, is all set to make its OTT debut.
The film is directed by PS Vinothraj, and bankrolled by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under the banner of Rowdy Pictures. The film is gearing up to premiere on Sony LIV on October 27.
Sony LIV announced the news on its social media handle, with the post, “The rage, the heat, the revenge! Join the father-son duo on a journey to unravel the complexity of an unseen rural lifestyle. Koozhangal streaming from October 27, exclusively on Sony LIV.”
The film revolves around a man and his son, who travel across villages in search of his wife who has left home after a quarrel. Talking to OTTplay, the film’s director had said that the story was inspired by the events that happened to his sister. The film, which is set in a rural backdrop, was shot in 13 villages. Koozhangal features Chellapandi and Karuththadaiyaan as the father and son.
Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Vignesh Kumulai and Jeya Parthipan, and editing by Ganesh Siva.
