Nagarjuna has stirred up a significant controversy regarding his role in the recently released film ‘Kuberaa’.
The film, directed by Sekhar Kammula, stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.
At a success meet for ‘Kuberaa’, Nagarjuna openly stated that he believes he is the “hero” of the film. He argued that while Dhanush’s character (Deva, a beggar) might have more screen time, the entire story of ‘Kuberaa’ revolves around his character, Deepak (a principled ex-CBI officer).
He said, ‘Kuberaa is Deepak’s film from start to end.” He also mentioned that his character’s complex arc, from integrity to disillusionment and alignment with a powerful businessman, is the “soul of the movie.’
This statement from Nagarjuna has caused a considerable uproar among Dhanush’s fans.
Many have taken to social media to criticize Nagarjuna, asserting that Dhanush’s performance as Deva is the heart and soul of the film and that he is undeniably the main protagonist.
