It looks like a packed week for Tamil movie buffs as a slew of films are gearing up to hit screens on OTT.
Here’s the list of upcoming Tamil movies and series that will be streaming on digital platforms soon.
‘Leo’: Netflix – 24 November
The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, starring Vijay and Trisha in lead roles, is a gangster drama set in the backdrop of Mumbai. The star-studded drama is part of the universe, popularly known as LCU, which the filmmaker created with his previous outing ‘Vikram’.
‘The Village’: Amazon Prime – 24 November
This Milind Rau directorial horror original series starring Arya is based on Asvin Srivatsangam, Vivek Rangachari, and Shamik Dasgupta’s graphic horror novel of the same name. The series takes the viewers deep into the desolate hinterlands of Tamil Nadu and into the village of Kattiyal, where Gautham and his family encounter a living form of horror they never imagined in their worst nightmare. The 6 episode series will also star Divya Pillai, George Maryan and Baby Aazhiya in pivotal roles.
‘Chithha’: Disney+Hotstar – 28 November
‘Chithha’ starring Siddharth and Nimisha Sajayan is an emotional drama directed by S U Arun Kumar.
The film revolves around the story of a man who goes to rescue his niece, who has been kidnapped by a human trafficking gang.
The film received critical acclaim for its screenplay and performances.
‘Sathiya Sothanai’ – Sony Liv – 24 November
Written and directed by Suresh Sangaiah, the drama thriller stars Premgi Amaren and Swayam Siddha in main roles.
The movie is all about when a man runs into trouble after surrendering gold ornaments of a deceased villager to the nearby police station.
The film also stars Reshma Pasupuleti, K. G. Mohan, Selva Murugan, Lakshmi, Haritha, and G. Gnanasambandam in supporting roles.
‘800’: Jio Cinemas – 2 December
‘800’ narrates the story of Sri Lankan ace cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s life journey from his humble beginnings in Sri Lanka to his rise to stardom as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. The film helmed by M S Sripathy stars Madhur Mittal as the cricket legend.
