Madras HC clears ‘Bro Code’ title as Ravi Mohan wins legal battle

The legal cloud over the title of actor Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film, ‘Bro Code’, has finally cleared.
The Madras High Court recorded a compromise between Ravi Mohan Studios and a Delhi-based liquor manufacturer, ending a months-long dispute.

The conflict began when the liquor company claimed trademark rights over the name, but the court ruled in favor of the filmmakers, noting that the title was already registered under the “entertainment” category.

Ravi Mohan had previously alleged that the legal pressure began only after he refused to promote the company’s liquor brand in the movie.

With this final legal hurdle removed, the team is now moving full steam ahead toward a summer release.

Directed by Karthik Yogi, the film is an action-comedy starring SJ Suryah and Arjun Ashokan, and it has already garnered significant buzz for its “Animal”-composer-led soundtrack.
