Actor Madhavan has heaped praise on director Raja Karuppasamy’s Tamil rural comedy ‘Modha Rathiri’, describing it as an exceptionally entertaining film and urging audiences not to miss it.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Madhavan praised the film’s screenplay, visual presentation and performances. He said he had thoroughly enjoyed watching a Tamil film after a long gap and particularly appreciated the humour and emotional moments.
Madhavan also congratulated the entire cast and crew, applauding their work and wishing the team greater success in the future.
His appreciation comes soon after National Award-winning actor and filmmaker Dhanush also endorsed the film. Taking to X, Dhanush described ‘Modha Rathiri’ as a heartwarming experience and praised the group of newcomers behind the project.
Dhanush encouraged audiences to watch the film in theatres with their families, highlighting the effort put in by the first-time filmmakers and actors.
Directed by Raja Karuppasamy, ‘Modha Rathiri’ stars Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar in the lead roles. The film opened in theatres on August 21 and went on to become a commercial success after receiving a U/A certificate from the censor board. Anishma plays Muthuselvi, while Rishikanth appears as Maruthanayagam.
Set against a rural backdrop, ‘Modha Rathiri’ takes an ordinary wedding and turns it into a chaotic series of misunderstandings, comic situations and unexpected developments, while also bringing emotional moments into the narrative.
The film’s growing appreciation from prominent names such as Madhavan and Dhanush has given another boost to the successful entertainer.
