Producer Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions provided a major release update for Chief Minister Vijay’s final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, during Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The producer confirmed that the film is finally nearing the end of its technical hurdles and is expected to hit theaters in approximately 14 days.
The film, directed by H. Vinoth, has faced a tumultuous journey involving CBFC certification delays and a significant online leak in April.
However, with the “Jana Nayagan” now officially in office, the team is working to lock a release date—with strong rumors pointing toward June 22, coinciding with the new Chief Minister’s birthday.
The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, and Mamitha Baiju, with music by Anirudh.
