‘Jana Nayagan’ producer issues apology amid postponement

Producer Venkat Narayana of KVN Productions has released a detailed video statement apologizing to fans following the indefinite postponement of Vijay’s final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’ .
Despite the makers incorporating every modification suggested by the Examining Committee, a last-minute complaint from a committee member led the CBFC Chairman to refer the film to a Revising Committee.
Following a legal battle, the Madras High Court has stayed the issuance of the film’s censor certificate until the next hearing on January 21, citing the need for a thorough review of the content.
The decision has been a significant blow to fans who were eagerly anticipating Vijay’s “torchbearer of democracy” farewell performance this Pongal.
Narayana emphasized that the team worked tirelessly to meet the January 9 deadline and that the new release date will be announced only after the legal hurdles are cleared.
This postponement has shifted the entire industry’s dynamic, as multiple other films are now scrambling to fill the massive gap left by Vijay’s departure from the festive race.
