The much-awaited trailer of ‘Jailer 2’ is out, giving fans a glimpse of Rajinikanth’s return as the iconic Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel is set to arrive in theatres on October 15. The trailer opens with Dileep, played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, trying to locate Muthuvel Pandian, who has disappeared from the public eye after the events of the first film.
The preview reveals that Muthuvel has taken on a new identity and is working undercover while digging deeper into a much larger network connected to the idol-smuggling operation seen in ‘Jailer’.
The trailer also confirms the presence of Mithun Chakraborty and brings back Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar, whose appearances were among the major talking points surrounding the sequel.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon, Jatin Sarna and several others.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, with Vijay Kartik Kannan handling cinematography and R Nirmal taking care of the editing. Kalanithi Maran is backing the project under the Sun Pictures banner.
