The latest song from Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Jailer 2’ has generated a strong response online, adding to the excitement surrounding the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster.
The track ‘Ala Bolelo’ follows the release of a short promotional video that had drawn criticism from some Malayalam-speaking viewers over the pronunciation of Malayalam words. The complete song, however, has received plenty of appreciation from fans who have praised its energetic presentation, choreography and large-scale visuals.
The song features Rajinikanth alongside Shamna Kasim, who appears in a traditional kasavu saree. The promotional footage had offered only a brief glimpse of Rajinikanth, while the full release has given audiences a better look at the song’s celebratory style.
Some social media users felt the Malayalam portions were not pronounced accurately and argued that greater attention should have been given to linguistic authenticity. Others suggested that performers and lyricists with stronger familiarity with Malayalam should have been involved.
Despite the criticism, the song has also attracted enthusiastic reactions from fans, with many describing it as a lively commercial number that could become popular in theatres. Music for ‘Jailer 2’ has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The lyrics have been worked on by Arunraja Kamaraj, Niranjana Raman, Aparna Harikumar and Deepthi Suresh.
The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. ‘Jailer 2’ is scheduled to reach cinemas on October 15, 2026.
