The ongoing legal dispute between actor Silambarasan (STR) and producer Ishari K. Ganesh over the film ‘Corona Kumar’ has taken a major turn following intervention from industry bodies.
The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and the South Indian Artistes’ Association (Nadigar Sangam) have reportedly ordered STR to pay Rs 7.5 crore to Ishari Ganesh’s Vels Film International.
This payment is intended to settle the dues from the advanced salary paid for the stalled project, which has been a major hurdle for the actor.
Once this settlement is cleared, STR is expected to officially resume the shoot for his highly anticipated project, ‘Arasan’, bringing a long-awaited resolution to the administrative standoff.
