‘Gandhi Talks’ premieres on ZEE5 this Friday

The highly anticipated silent film ‘Gandhi Talks’, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, and Aditi Rao Hydari, has found its digital home.
After a theatrical release earlier this year, the film is set to premiere on ZEE5 on March 6, 2026.

Billed as a “visual symphony,” the film relies entirely on performances and a musical score by A.R. Rahman to tell its story.

Vijay Sethupathi described the project as a unique experiment in modern cinema, focusing on how people react to the “Gandhi” on Indian currency notes. The film will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions.

The movie follows the pathbreaking tradition of Kamal Haasan’s Pushpaka Vimanam, using black comedy and satire to critique modern society’s obsession with money.

Director Kishor Belekar recently shared that the silence in the film allows the audience to focus more on the subtle expressions and moral conflicts of the characters.
