Following in the footsteps of his sister, Aditi Shankar, who is already a popular actress, Arjith Shankar, the son of acclaimed director Shankar, is reportedly set to make his debut as a lead actor.
Arjith has been training in acting for several years and has also gained valuable experience behind the camera. He recently worked as an assistant director for A.R. Murugadoss’s film ‘Madarasi.’
While details about his debut project are still under wraps, sources suggest that he will be launched in a youthful entertainer directed by a protege of filmmaker Atlee.
Shankar is said to have given his nod to the project, which will be produced by Passion Studios.
An official announcement is expected post-Dasara, and the film’s shoot is scheduled to begin shortly after.
