Dhruv Vikram clarifies ‘First Film’ comment for ‘Bison: Kaalamaadan’

Actor Dhruv Vikram has addressed the buzz surrounding his recent comment that he considers the upcoming sports drama ‘Bison: Kaalamaadan’ as his “first film,” despite having previously starred in ‘Adithya Varma’ and ‘Mahaan’.

Speaking at a pre-release event in Chennai, the actor clarified his statement, emphasizing the immense personal effort he has put into the Mari Selvaraj directorial. “I have acted in two films so far. It’s not a problem even if you haven’t seen those two films. But you have to watch this film for sure, as I consider this as my first film,” he stated.

Dhruv, who trained in professional Kabaddi for the role, suggested that his commitment to this project, which is based on the life of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, makes it feel like a career “reset” and his true debut. ‘Bison: Kaalamaadan’ is set to clash with other major films this Diwali, with a release date of October 17.
