Director Vignesh Raja, who gained fame for the thriller ‘Por Thozhil’, has confirmed that Dhanush will be seen in a character with “grey shades” in his next film, ‘Kara’.
The director described the film as an emotionally rooted suspense thriller where the protagonist must navigate a dark and dangerous path to survive.
The first-look poster, which features the tagline “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” hints at a gritty and morally complex role for the actor.
The film marks a significant collaboration between Dhanush and the technical team of ‘Por Thozhil’, promising a high-quality cinematic experience.
With music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Theni Easwar, the film is expected to be one of the most intense releases of early 2026.
Production is nearing completion, and the makers are currently aiming for a grand theatrical release in February 2026.
