Actor Dhanush has been served a legal notice by Thenandal Studio Limited, demanding a compensation of Rs 20 crore.
The dispute stems from an old agreement for a project that was signed several years ago but failed to commence production.
The production house alleges that the actor’s subsequent commitments led to significant financial losses, as they had blocked dates and paid advances for a film that never moved forward.
This notice adds to a series of legal challenges the actor has faced regarding older production agreements that remained unfulfilled.
While Dhanush’s legal team is yet to issue a formal response, industry insiders suggest he may seek an amicable settlement to avoid further delays in his current busy schedule.
Meanwhile, the actor remains focused on his current directorial ventures and the highly anticipated Ilaiyaraaja biopic which is set to go on floors later this year.
