The evergreen combination of Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman is back once again for ‘Ponniyin Selvan – 1’ and the lyrical video of the second single ‘Chola Chola’ has been released.
ARR gave thumping music once again and his instrumentation is just world-class.
There is grandeur written all over and it sounds like a war song that explains the greatness of Chola’s rule.
Also, there is an interlude of love and heartbreak too.
Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, the cast of the film includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban.
The movie is hitting the screens on 30 September.
