26th December 2020: After the runaway success of Mookuthi Amman and Hotstar Specials series Triples, Disney+ Hotstar VIP today unveiled the trailer of Bhoomi – further cementing its promise of presenting stellar Tamil content to fans everywhere in India. Starring Jayam Ravi and Nidhhi Agerwal, Bhoomi is one man’s mission to improve the life of farmers in his hometown before embarking on an unforgettable mission into outer-space. The incredible story features an ensemble cast including Ronit Roy who will be portraying a grey character and Sathish, Thambi Ramaiah, Dato Radha Ravi, Saranya Ponvannan amongst others. Directed by Lakshman and Produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar, the highly-anticipated movie brings with it the true-spirit of harvest season as it readies for launch this Pongal, 14th January 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

Synopsis
Bhoominathan (Jayam Ravi), a Scientist of NASA, who works for a mission to develop agriculture on MARS, visits his hometown for a break before his mission begins. After coming back, he realises that he should save the farmers before trying farming in outer space. He soon develops a prototype that showcases farming as a high yielding business. But his farm is destroyed by the local minister with a fake reason that he spreads harmful viruses. Will Bhoomi be able to overcome the hurdles presented to him?
