Boney Kapoor bags remake rights of ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’

Bollywood veteran Boney Kapoor has officially secured the Hindi remake rights for the Tamil political satire ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ (TTT).
The deal was finalized during a celebratory success party for the film in Chennai, where Kapoor personally met with the team.
The producer reportedly discovered the film by chance earlier this year at a local theater in Coimbatore while attending the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).
Captivated by its sharp humor and realistic portrayal of rural politics, he immediately reached out to producers Kannan Ravi and Deepak Ravi to close the deal.
Directed by Nithish Sahadev, the film marks the significant “comeback” of actor Jiiva.
It is a dark-humour political satire centered on a village panchayat leader, Jeevarathnam (played by Jiiva), who finds himself in a chaotic predicament when a wedding and a funeral coincide on the same day in neighboring houses.
