Family drama
Aval Appadithaan 2
– Review
Manju is a private school teacher. She is a person who helps others, admits mistakes and operates with independent thinking.
Her husband Ram runs a private company. Many people work for him. They have a daughter who goes to school. One Saturday morning, Manju went to work and did not reach home until 10 pm.
Ram starts searching for Manju along with his friend. Manju arrives home on Sunday morning.
When Ram asks her where she went, Mannju replies, “Do you want to know where I went last night? or Do you want to know what happened?”.
She doesn’t just give a direct answer like this, but starts doing this as per her wish. Conflict erupts between the couple as ego clashes. What happened between them in the end forms the rest of the story.
Directed by R Chidambaram, a major portion of the movie takes place inside a house. The movie is based on the single line of what is the answer to a question. The story is based on how a person speaks and the effect that it creates.
There are several sharp dialogues that reflect the relationship between a husband and wife.
All the actors in the movie have done their part well. Sneha Parthibaraja has got into the skin of Manju’s character.
Right from her expressions to her body language, she has delivered a decent performance.
Abu Tahir as her husband has given a natural performance as a short tempered husband.
Rest of the cast including Rajeshwari, Vanitha Sri, Sumithra, Karthika and Venkatramanan have all delivered what was expected from them.
The movie does not have any songs, music composer Aravindh Siddharth shines in the BGM department. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.
