To keep our Country clean and healthy is our individual responsibility.
We follow certain things that suit us, perfectly. “Charity starts at home”. We all preach and follow this sincerely.
Similarly, “Cleanliness starts at home”. We should keep our house clean. Strive towards keeping our society (apartments) clean, streets clean, roads clean, highways clean, waterways clean, Drainages clean and the Ocean clean.
As we start becoming conscious of this, our health gets cleared off all the diseases.
Bifcurcation of wastes at home is the first step and let us imbibe this habit in to our next generation by being an example before them.
The young generation easily follows the parents and teachers at school. If we plant good habits and thoughts, they will transform that way.
A father not minding the road signals and after that when caught by the police, trying to show his connect or pays bribes creates a wrong impression over the child and he follows the same.
Kanoon thodo, Dumki do, Goos do, (Break the law, show the might, throw the money) have been the bad lines followed by some in our Country and that becomes many over a period.
Later, when they get in to an accident they blame the Government. Let us not forget that, we are the Government.
As we travel in a Country like Dubai or Singapore, we don’t litter and keep the chocolate papers in our pocket and admire how clean the Country is.
As we land back in India, we start littering and how do we expect it to be clean. When we are at fault, who is to be blamed?
Democracy means “of the people, by the people and for the people”. As quoted by Abraham Lincoln.
Whoever be the leader is our own elect. Some vote to make a good leader and some don’t vote to make a bad leader.
Hence, let’s take an oath and resolve in our mind on this 75th year that, we will keep our Country clean and make our environment healthy from all the dust and dirt and wastes of body, mind and food.
Jai Hind! Bharat Mata ki Jai!
