Tamil Nadu government extends lockdown

Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown for one more week till 7 June.
A circular in this regard from Chief Minister M K Stalin said that all the existing restrictions will continue.
However shopkeepers can sell groceries and vegetables in push cart after coordinating with the local body.
The can also deliver to the customers based on the request over phone.
The release also said that a kit with 13 grocery and essential items will also be distributed through ration shops from June.
The kit would contain 500 grams each of sugar, and urad dal, 1 kg each of wheat, salt, and semolina, 250 grams each of tamarind and Bengal gram dal, 200 grams of tea powder, 100 grams each of jeera, turmeric powder, chilli powder and mustard seed, a bathing soap of 125 grams and a 250 grams detergent bar. Stalin also requested people to stay safe and not to venture out unnecessarily.
