Takes off well

      Rocketry

Review                                                                                 Despite getting a huge offer from NASA, Nambi Narayanan stays back with ISRO based on the request made by his guru Vikram Sarabhai.

At a time when India was looking forward to making a mark in Space research, Nambi’s contribution was considered very important.

When solid propellant was widely used to launch rockets, Nambi proved that Liquid propellants can be effective as well.

He also invented the Vikaas engine. But in a certain twist of events he is arrested with charges of leaking confidential information about ISRO to two individuals from Maldives.

How he fought against these allegations forms the rest of the story. Madhavan has effectively balanced acting as the actor and director.

Madhavan has lived as Nambi Narayanan and has done complete justice to the role. Dialogues are a major strength of the movie.

Simran as Nambi Narayanan’s wife is terrific but has a short role.

The entire story of Nambi Narayanan is delivered through Suriya as a television talk show host.

Madhavan has shown that a biopic can also be made without any commercialisation.

Music by Sam CS gels well with the intensity of the story.

Rest of the technical aspects of the movie is also appreciable.
