Ram Setu – Review by Naveen

Clever and inconsistent

Ram Setu

– Review

Nassar is the owner of a Shipping Corp. He requests the Indian government to dismantle the Ram Setu, as part of his Sethusamudram Project.

This does not go well with many and a case is filed. The government of India ropes in the joint director of archaeology Akshay Kumar and asks him to submit a report to reveal whether the Ram Setu is man-made or is a natural formation.
The rest of the story is about Akshay’s journey into the world of Ram Setu.
Director Abhishek has done extensive research on the topic which is clearly visible on screen.
There are several interesting scenes in the movie which keeps the audience engaged. Ram Setu had a good plot but the narration could have been better. Akshay Kumar is seen in a new look and plays his age.
Performance wise, he is sincere and does what is expected of him. Jacqueline Fernandez is decent in her supporting role.
Nasser has done his part well. Rest of the cast including Nusrat Barucha and Pravesh Rana have delivered what was expected from them. Music by Daniel B George is impressive.

Rating: 3.5/5
