Racer

– Review

The movie is about a middle-class youngster’s dream to become a bike racer. Right from his childhood, Akil Santosh wants to own a bike of his own.
But this is not an easy task considering his family situation and because of his conservative father.
After completing his education and securing a job, Akil takes out a loan to buy a bike for himself. To pay for the loan, he takes up a second job.
It is during this time, he comes to know about a PRO street racing competition and he decides to take part in it. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director Satz Rex has made a reasonably interesting sports drama with a mix of family sentiments as well.
Narration of the movie makes it easier for the audience to relate to the proceedings onscreen.
The screenplay is also interesting and though the movie is predictable it does not get boring.
Akil Santosh has delivered a decent performance and is apt for the role.
He has carried the emotions in an effective manner and shines in the racing sequences as well.
Lavanya has very little screen space and is impressive in the brief time that she appears. Rest of the cast have also done their part well.
Music composer Bharath has delivered what was required for the film. Rest of the technical aspects are okay as well.
