Prince
– Review
Sivakarthikeyan is a school teacher who lives in Puducherry with his father Sathyaraj.
Maria Ryaboshapka from Cambridge comes to his school and he falls in love with her.
But Sathyaraj hates the British as his ancestors were made slaves by them. Similarly, Jessica’s father hates Sivakarthikeyan as he is an Indian.
How Sivakarthikeyan won the heart of Jessica and also his father forms the rest of the story.
Director Anudeep has stayed true to his strength. He has relied on the timing and comic sense of Sivakarthikeyan and it has worked out really well.
The one-liners in the movie are its major strength. It is Sivakarthikeyan’s show all the way. He is energetic and at his humorous best as Anbu.
Sathyaraj delivers his best in yet another solid role. Premgi gives a neat performance as the comical villain.
Maria Ryaboshapka makes a decent debut as Jessica and is impressive. Thaman’s background score suits well with the theme of the movie. Though there are some minus points, pluses dominate ‘Prince’ this festival season.
