“Guts” Move Review by Naveen

An ambitious attempt

“Guts”

– Review

The story revolves around a devoted husband (Rangaraj) who is fatally attacked while taking his pregnant wife (Shruti Narayanan) to the hospital.

Her subsequent demise due to grief leads to their son growing up to become a police officer determined to uncover the truth behind his parents’ fate.

The film explores themes like corporate pollution, a sensitive murder case involving a transgender woman, and a flashback-driven love story.

Rangaraj, as the director, has made an earnest attempt to tell a layered story with social relevance. While the screenplay might occasionally juggle too many themes, the ambition is commendable.

Rangaraj also impresses as an actor, especially in emotionally intense scenes.

Shruti Narayanan delivers a sincere and grounded performance, particularly in portraying grief and resilience. She has delivered a mature performance as the female lead, who goes through a tragic and emotional journey.

Delhi Ganesh’s brief appearance provides a strong impact, and other supporting actors like Sai Deena, Nancy, Aranthangi Nisha, and Birla Bose contribute authenticity.

Manoj’s cinematography is a major positive of the movie, with each frame being visually compelling. Jose Franklin’s music complements the emotional beats of the story.
