Treasure hunt

“Gajana”

– Review

Prathap Pothan has done research about valuable Naga stones which are under the protection of snakes in Nagamalai. It is believed that whoever tries to take the stones will never return alive.
Inigo Prabhakar and his friends try to steal the Naga stones. Meanwhile, Vedhika, an archaeologist tries to get information about the stones from Hareesh Peradi.
Who wins in the race to find the valuable stones, how did they venture into the Nagamalai forest. What are the supernatural activities that they witness there and did those who went to find the treasure, return or not forms the core plot of the movie.
Director Prabhadish Samz has made the movie on the lines of ‘Indian Jones’ and ‘National Treasure’. However, the same quality of graphics cannot be expected. The screenplay too could have been brisker to keep the audience engaged.
Inigo Prabhakar has delivered his best to play the character in a convincing way. He shoulders the entire movie.
Vedhika has done her part well as the archaeologist and has delivered what was expected from her.
Haresh Paredi and Velu Prabhakaran’s characters could have had more depth. Yogi Babu and Mottai Rajendran appear in very few scenes.
Achu Rajamani’s music creates the necessary mood for the movie. Camerawork by Gopi Duraisamy and Vinod JP is good. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are passable.

Rating: 3.4/5
