“Fire”

– Review

‘Fire’ is based on the true story of a  youngster, who cheated many young women by cheating and blackmailing them with their private videos.
Popular producer JSK Sathish has directed this film based on the life of the convict, who is currently in prison.
The director has conveyed an important message about safety of women in an unapologetic manner.
While the storyline is known to us, the way in which the movie is narrated is very impressive.
Balaji Murugadoss plays the role of a doctor who deceives women by making them fall in love with him.
Although it is a character with a completely negative shade, Balaji Murugadoss has come forward with courage.
He has given a good performance as a calm boy in the first half and as a cruel villain in the second half.
The film has many female characters like Chandini Tamilarasan, Sakshi Agarwal, Rachita Mahalakshmi, Gayathri Shaan. They all have important roles in the film and have acted accordingly.
Apart from them, director and producer JSK Sathish plays an important role as a police officer throughout the film.
Singam Puli and Suresh Chakravarthy also play small roles in the film and they have done their part well.
Music by DK gels well with the theme of the movie. Camerawork by Sathish G is impressive. Rest of the technical aspects are good as well. The movie is a much needed one in today’s scenario where we get to see many crimes against women..

Rating: 4.5/5
