Devil’s Double Next Level
– Review
Santhanam is a famous film reviewer on YouTube who, along with his family, gets called for a special movie screening.
But once he senses something eerie about the place, he runs away only to realise that his family is already seated for the show.
With Santhanam getting sucked into the film which has his family members as characters, he must quickly act on his sense and save themselves from the ghosts in the film before the end credits roll, for its all the revenge of a failed filmmaker’s ghost, Selvaraghavan.
Directed by Prem Anand, the movie has all the salient features of the ‘DD’ franchise. There is ghost, humour, timing comedy and one-liners that tickle the funny bones.
The plot of the movie is also interesting and the screenplay is engaging as well.
Santhanan is in his elements and delivers a top notch performance in a role which is tailor made for him.
His chemistry with the rest of the cast, especially Mottai Rajendran is on one of the major positives of the movie.
There is so much scope for Santhanam as an actor to shine and he has done it in a convincing manner.
The supporting cast of Geetika Tiwari, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Resin Kingsley, and Selvaraghavan have all done their part well.
Music by Ofro gels well with the them of the movie and helps in the jump scare. The vfx in the movie is top notch and is one of the major strengths of the movie. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.
