‘Dark Giant’ begins with a chilling premise: A desperate man seeks divine intervention but instead encounters a sinister force that grants wishes in exchange for increasingly disturbing sacrifices.

Years later, a debt-ridden protagonist is drawn to an abandoned ancestral property, where long-buried secrets and supernatural horrors begin to unfold. The film gradually connects these parallel storylines into a larger mystery involving greed, faith, and the consequences of making deals with evil forces.

The performances receive strong praise. Jovita (daughter of actor Livingston) is highlighted as the emotional anchor of the story, portraying a morally grounded character who consistently stands on the side of righteousness. Adharsh impresses with a layered performance, while Aruvi Madhan effectively carries much of the film’s emotional and narrative weight. Sonia Agarwal is pivotal to the story and leaves a lasting impact.

Technically, the background score by Vignesh Raja maintains tension throughout, while cinematographer Sangeeth Manigopal focuses less on picturesque village imagery and more on creating an unsettling visual mood that enhances the horror experience. The production design also contributes significantly to the eerie setting.

Director K. S. Kishaan earns praise for both the screenplay and execution. He successfully creates genuine fear and suspense, capturing the sense of dread associated with classic Tamil horror films. Produced by Logesvaran N, the film resonates with both viewers who grew up watching horror films in the 1990s and younger audiences discovering the genre today.
