Connect

– Review

The whole story of ‘Connect’ happens in the background of Covid Lockdown. Vinay works as a doctor in a reputed hospital.
His wife Nayanthara is a homemaker while Hania Nafees studies in school and also learns music.
She gets a seat at Harvard Music School in London and before she goes there, the Corona lockdown comes. Vinay succumbs to corona while treating patients.
When he asks his daughter to sing a song before he dies, she goes out in grief without singing. Being saddened by not being able to fulfill her father’s last wish, she tries to talk to her father’s soul.
While trying to do so, an evil spirit enters her. The story of the film is how Nayanthara and her father Sathyaraj get rid of the evil spirit that entered their daughter.
Kavya Ram Kumar, who gave the original story of this movie, took a very short line and weaved the whole story. Her husband Ashwin has executed it perfectly.
Many scenes in the movie are well done, especially the background music cinematography in the movie has taken the movie to another level.
Nayanthara has taken her role forward in her own style. Even though Vinay Roy’s role is small, he is very impressive. Sathyaraj as usual delivers a seasoned performance.
Anupama Kher’s performance is a plus point for the movie and Hania Nafis who played the role of Anna, even though it was her first film, she has done an excellent job. She takes the movie to a whole new level.
Cinematography by Manikandan and Krishnamachari is a plus for the movie, similarly the background score by Prithvi Chandrasekaran is also a plus for the movie.
Both the cinematography and the background score have shown their work in such a way that the audience trembles at about four or five places.

Rating: 3.75/5
