– Review
Pulipandi (Vetri) is a small-time thug who lives with his mother and sister. One day, he wins a lottery ticket worth ₹10 crore.
He is initially overjoyed, but he soon realises that his newfound wealth has made him a target. A group of gangsters, led by Ismail (Hareesh Peradi), are also after the lottery ticket.
They are willing to kill anyone who gets in their way. Pulipandi must now use all of his skills to stay alive and protect his family.
He teams up with Anandhi (Shivani Narayanan), a police officer who is also investigating the case.
Together, they must face off against the gangsters and try to win back the lottery ticket.
Directed by M Selvakumar, the movie follows the familiar formula of a poor man who wins the lottery and then has to deal with the consequences.
However, the film is well-made and entertaining. The action sequences are well-choreographed, and the performances by the cast are all good. Vetri is particularly good as Pulipandi.
He brings a lot of charisma to the role, and he is believable as both a petty criminal and a hero.
Hareesh Peradi is also good as Ismail. He is menacing as the leader of the gangsters.
Rest of the cast including Shivani Narayanan, Thangadurai and Kavitha Bharathi have all done their part well.
Music by Govind Vasantha gives he much needed momentum for the movie. Camerawork by Vinoth Rathinasamy is interesting.
