Veeraraghavan (Vijay) is a RAW agent in the Indian army. A child dies in his attempt to capture Umar Farooq, a most wanted terrorist. Heartbroken by this incident, he resigns his job and joins a security service run by VTV Ganesh.

During his visit to a mall in Chennai, terrorists hijack the facility and demand the release of Umar Farooq. How did Veeraraghavan defeat the terrorists and save the hostages forms the rest of the story.

Vijay shines as a RAW agent in the movie. He has done exceptionally well in the action and dance sequences.  Pooja Hegde has delivered what her character demanded and is impressive.

Selvaraghavan as the government negotiator has done a good job. VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsly have done well in supporting roles.

Director Nelson has based the story suiting Vijay’s mass appeal.  Though the first half is engaging, the second half becomes a tad slow and becomes predictable after a point.

More efforts could have been made to make the conflict between the terrorists and Vijay more interesting.

Anirudh Ravichander has once again done a good job with the songs and BGM. Arabic Kuthu song’s picturization is one of the best in recent times.  Credit goes to the choreographer Jani. Anbariv’s stunt sequences are all top notch.

Rating: 3.7/5
