Decent concept and execution
ARM
– Review
Tovino Thomas, an electrician, is in love with Krithi Shetty. However, his life is overshadowed by the bad reputation of his grandfather, also played by Tovino Thomas, who once stole the valuable Sreeboodhi Lamp from the village temple.
Things turn darker when Harish Uttaman, a cunning local, blackmails Tovino Thomas into searching for the hidden treasure.
As Tovino embarks on this dangerous quest, he uncovers shocking secrets about the lamp, his family, and Harish’s true motives. What happens next forms the core plot of the movie.
Director Jithin Lal’s choice of story for his debut film is commendable. The execution is also good, but the writing could have been better.
Tovino Thomas’s choice of roles remains compelling. His portrayal of three distinct characters, especially the intelligent thief Maniyan, is impressive. Thomas brings depth to each role and entertains effectively as Ajay.
Krithi Shetty has done her part well and has delivered what was expected from her. Surabhi Laxmi, as Maniyan’s wife, makes a strong impact despite her limited screen time.
Rohini Molleti and Basil Joseph also contribute well, with Joseph adding a touch of comedy. The supporting cast performs competently in their roles.
Jomon T John’s visuals are striking and well complimented by Dhibu Ninan Thomas’ music. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good.
