Bold attempt

Yenni Thuniga

– Review

A group of ruthless international criminals go about killing people to know the whereabouts of diamonds worth Rs 2,000 crore.
The diamonds are in possession of a corrupt minister. Then a heist at a jewellery shop is planned where people are shot. One of the victims is Jai’s girlfriend Athulya.
Following this, Jai plans to take his revenge on the gang responsible for Athulya’s death.
Director Vetriselvan has made the movie based on a regular revenge dream.
The film struggles to take off in the initial stages, but gets interesting towards the interval.
Jai has tried to shoulder the entire film on his shoulder and does a decent job.
Athulya Ravi has very little screen space. A few romantic scenes that hinder the flow of the movie could have been avoided.
Though the movie is not an edge of the seat thriller, it is no pushover as well.
With an ensemble of cast the movie manages to keep the proceedings interesting.
Sam CS makes an impact with his BGM, but the same cannot be said about the songs. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.

Rating: 3.2/5
