Back with a bang

Yaanai

– Review

Arun Vijay is the youngest son of the PRV clan who are up in arms against the Samuthiram (Jayabalan) family.
Jayabalan and his son Ramachandra Raju want to take their revenge on the PRV clan for the death of a family member.
However, Arun Vijay stands guard for the PRV family. Jayabalan waits for the right time to strike and that happens when Ammu Abiraami elopes with her boyfriend.
This incident causes a rift in the PRV family and Jayabalan capitalises on this. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director Hari is back with a bang and has delivered yet another fulfilling commercial film.
He has gone back to his basics and has added the right mix of family drama, emotion and action in the script.
The character arc is well developed for each and every character. Arun Vijay has done an excellent job portraying his role.
He is not perfect but does not end up doing bad things. He has balanced this character in the right mix.
Priya Bhavani Shankar delivers a memorable performance.
Supporting cast of Samuthirakani, Radhika and Yogi Babu deliver a decent performance.
GV Prakash’s BGM is electrifying especially in the action sequences.
