Nostalgic for Jackie Chan fans

The movie follows the story of archaeology expert Jackie Chan who dreams of traveling back in time to the Han dynasty era. Jackie keeps on dreaming about his younger version: the military general Zhao Zhan.
In these recurring dreams, Jackie also sees another patriotic soldier whose appearance is a splitting image of his present-time aide. He also meets the beautiful princess Gulnezer Bextiyar. How are all their stories interconnected forms the core plot of the movie.
Director Stanley Tong has set the plot in a way that connects the past and the present. More attention could have been paid to the screenplay.Kudos to the team for bringing Jackie Chan back to his 90s look with the de-aging technology.
Jackie Chan has acted in a way that shows the difference between the two eras. The young Jackie Chan is intimidating in the action scenes.
The heroine Gurnesan has come across beautifully and has delivered a wonderful performance.
Rest of the cast including Yixing Zhang, Aarif Lee, Chen Li, and Alan Dawa Dolma have also done well. The tamil dubbing for the actors are top notch and have been synced well.
Chi-Wah Lee has beautifully shot each of the film’s locations, both in that period portions and present era.
Nathan Wang’s background music resonates with the beauty of Chinese music.
