The excitement of Ajith fans knew no bounds as the actor’s ‘Valimai’ released today. There were celebrations everywhere the movie was released.
Now coming to the story, ‘Valimai’ is the battle between an honest cop and a biker gang that smuggles drugs.
Ajith is a cop from Madurai who is assigned the job of nabbing the notorious biker gang. While Ajith is in pursuit of this gang, his brother joins the bikers and turns against him.
Did Ajith nab the gang, What happened to his brother, what are the difficulties that he faces in this assignment forms the crux of the story.
Having a theatrical release after almost 900 days, Ajith looks dapper and his performance is rock solid. His screen presence elevates the movie to another level and is a treat for his fans. Most of the stunts that he has done in the movie gives the audience goosebumps.
Not just the action scenes, his performance in the emotional sequences makes the audience melt.
Huma Qureshi who comes as a police officer with technical background has also done her part well and does some stunts of her own as well. Karthikeya is menacing as the antagonist. His body language is his biggest strength
Director H Vinoth delivers a neat action thriller with some high quality stunts. The movie is a family entertainer with all the emotions in the right mix. Vinoth’s writing is to the point and the level of detailing that he has put into the subject is commendable. But he could have infused more pace.
The movie ends with a relevant social message. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s BGM is as usual electrifying and tests the pulse of the audience.
Special mention has to be made about Dhilip Subbarayan’s stunt choreography. All the action blocks are on Hollywood standards. Each action sequence is meticulously made. The stunt sequences in the pre-interval block are breathtaking.
