– Review

‘Vaaitha’ speaks about the loopholes in the judicial system which affect the life of a laundry worker and his family.
The movie does not just focus on how people in power exploit the underprivileged but also how the officials are victimised by them.
Appusamy is a laundry worker who gets injured in an accident. He seeks financial assistance from the person who was responsible for the accident.
However, the person creates more problems for Appusamy.
How does Appusamy overcome all these problems and what is the role of Court in this forms the rest of the story.
Director Mahivarman highlights the pressing issue in the society.
However, the director brings out one too many issues which at times becomes overwhelming.
M Ramasamy has delivered yet another stellar performance and is impressive as Appusamy.
The single shot scene in the climax stands out. Pugazh Mahendhiran as Appusamy’s son does a decent job.
However, there is scope for improvement.
Rest of the cast including Pauline Jessica and Rani Jaya have done their part well.
Cinematography and BGM compliments the movie well and elevates the sequences.
Rating: 3.5/5
