Trauma

– Review

Vivek Prasanna-Chandini Tamilarasan are a couple who are worried about not having children. Though the fault is on the side of Vivek Prasanna, he hides this from his wife.
One day, Vivek sees an advertisement for an artificial insemination center. It is run by Pradeep K. Vijayan. Since the center promises100 percent results, Prasanna mixes the drugs they provide with food without his wife’s knowledge. At one point, Chandni becomes pregnant.
On the other hand, Poornima Ravi, the daughter of auto driver Marimuthu and Rama, works at a petrol pump. Parthosh is in love with her.  Meanwhile, Easwar, a car mechanic, steals cars and sells them through his friends.
These four characters are connected by a problem. What is that problem? What do these characters have to do with Chandini’s pregnancy? This is the rest of the story of the film.
Director Thambidurai Mariappan has directed a suspense thriller film with a medical background. The core plot of the movie focuses on the many frauds that have been going on in the past few years claiming to be treating infertility.
Actor Vivek Prasanna, who plays the protagonist, has acted with understanding of the role given to him. Chandini Tamilarasan has reflected the feelings of the women who want to achieve motherhood. Poornima Ravi and Parthosh have acted well to reflect the modern lovers.
Rest of the cast including Anand Nag, Marimuthu, Rama, Sanjeev, Vaiyapuri, Nizhalgal Ravi have understood their respective characters and performed well.
Ajith Srinivasanini’s cinematography has added strength to the film. Music by RS Rajprathap gels well with the theme of the movie.
Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.

Rating: 3.5/5
