Ring Ring

– Review

Four friends meet at a birthday party along with their family. They are having fun joking and teasing each other, but suddenly they decide to play a game with their cell phones.

Accordingly, everyone has to put their cell phones on the table. Whoever receives a call on their cell phone has to put it on speaker and speak as if everyone is listening.

Similarly, any message or WhatsApp message that comes in has to be made known to everyone.

While playing this game, unexpected secrets are revealed to others.

What happened in the life of the people playing the game forms the rest of the plot of the movie.

Director Sakthivel has made the film with a cell phone as the centerpiece. The film offers an entertaining and light-hearted depiction of how a seemingly innocent game can unravel deep secrets and test the strength of friendship and relationships. He has tried to convey the message that one should be true to one another.

The film stars Sakshi Agarwal, Arjunan, Daniel Annie Pope, Vivek Prasanna, Sahana Shetty and Swayam Siddhar in the lead roles. All of them have done their part well.

Although the main scenes of the film are all set at a dinner table and are entirely dialogue scenes, the emotional performances of the actors make it interesting and lively.

When everyone’s secrets are leaked through cell phones, they score the acting with elegant expressions like grumbling and coping without knowing what to do.

Music Composer Vasanth’s songs are good and Prashanth’s camerawork is impressive. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are passable.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5
