Rendagam

– Review

The movie begins with Arvind Swamy losing his memory during a gangwar after he is hit in the head. A gang sends Kunchacko Boban to become an acquaintance with Aravind Swamy to bring back his memories.
Kunchacko Boban too tries his best to bring back Arvind Swamy’s memories. Was he successful? Why was Kunchacko Boban sent? Who is Arvind Swamy forms the rest of the story.
Director Felini T P takes his time to enter into the premise of the film. The first half begins slowly and gains momentum once Arvind Swamy recollects his memories.
Felini has ensured that there are enough mass moments for Arvind Swamy and the action blocks are terrific as well.
Arvind Swamy who comes as an innocent character in the first half shows massive transformation as the movie progresses.
Kunchako has done his part well. He does complete justice to the role.
Rest of the cast including Jackie Shroff, Aadukalam Naren, Amalda Liz and Jins Bhaskar have also done their part well.
The screenplay loses steam in the second half and the audience might not feel connected.
A S Kaashif’s background score is impressive, but the songs could have been better. Gautham Shankar’s camerawork is impressive.

Rating: 3.5/5
