“Pani”

– Review

Two young mechanics end up taking up a contract killing job to earn a quick Rs 10 lakhs.

They end up killing a man and stuffing him into an ATM, and this makes headlines.

The two mechanics pocket the money, which they believe could make their life easier.

However, their paths quickly cross Joju George, one of the most well-known dons in the city, and his wife Abhinaya, and things take a turn.

What happens between these two men and Joju George? Why are his men hunting down the two mechanics forms the core plot of the movie.

Joju George who makes his directorial debut with this movie has done a decent job in the direction department.

He has chosen a simple story yet has infused it with a lot of action and violence. The character arc he has written for himself is laudable, as well as the two mechanics.

Joju’s commanding screen presence and his portrayal of the character stands out.

Abhinaya seamlessly brings her character to life, skillfully conveying the character’s varied emotions with great finesse.

While Sagar delivers a strong performance as the perverted and manipulative antagonist, Junaiz’s portrayal of the inexpressive psycho falls short in several areas.

Abhaya Hiranmayi and Bobby Kurian also shine in their roles, while Prashanth Alexander makes an impression

The cinematography by Venu ISC and Jino George stands out. The BGM by Vishnu Vijay and Sam CS ensures that the audience feels the pace of the movie. The dialogues in Tamil hit the right chord.
