Timely political drama

Oru Thavaru Seidhal

–  Review

The story of the movie revolves around four youngsters who aim to make it big in the film industry. But, they are struggling to meet their basic needs.

They are even evicted from their house as they are not able to pay their rent.

The youngsters decide to spend the night at Koyambedu market where they meet a elderly man who advises them that they can live well if they utilise the needs of others in the proper manner.

The youngsters decide to follow this principle in the election and get into trouble. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Director Mani Dhamodharan has presented an interesting political drama which has a fresh storyline. The script is intelligent and makes the audience think about what is conveyed in the movie.

The lead roles are played by newcomers and each of them shine in their respective characters.

Paari, Santhosh, Surendhar and Santhosh have all delivered what was expected from them.

MS Bhaskar and Namo Narayanan have delivered a seasoned performance. Rest of the cast have also made their mark.

Music by K M Rayan is good and is complimented well by Magesh and Vijaya Krishna’s camerawork. Rest of the technical aspects are good as well.

Rating: 3.3/5
