Importance of tradition

 Vellimalai

– Review

Subramani is a village physician who is always mocked by the villagers. No one gets treated from him or buys medicines.
However, Subramani tolerates everything and believes that the villagers will understand him one day.
The villagers fall sick due to a virus and one of them gets cured because of the treatment given by Subramani.
Soon, all the villagers seek the help of Subramani. However, he says that the medicine is not available with him.
He takes the villagers to the hill top to get the herbals. But upon reaching there, he confesses that he does not know about which herb will cure the disease and says that he was not the one who cured the villager.
Why did Subramani say so, what happens next, who actually cured the villager forms the rest of the story.
Director Om Vijay has conveyed the importance of practising traditional medicine. He has delivered the message in a convincing manner with some interesting twists and turns to keep the audience interested.
The way in which has got the work from the actors is commendable.
Super Good Subramani who has done character roles in several movies has showcased his acting prowess in this film.
He has delivered a natural performance as usual without going overboard anywhere.
Veerasubash who is making debut in this movie is perfectly cast in his role and his done his job well.
Anju Krishna as Subramani’s daughter shines in her role. Be it her acting, dialogue delivery or body language, she is impressive.
Rest of the cast have all done their part well. Mani Perumal’s camerawork is impressive and has captured the hills in a beautiful manner.
N R Raghunanthan’s songs are impressive and BGM adds more value to each and every scene.
