‘Blood’ relations

Naan Mirugamai Maara

– Review

A group of youngsters set out to kill an influential businessman. However they are stopped by a software engineer, who is the brother of Sasikumar, a sound engineer.
This incident affects the life of Sasikumar and his family members. How Sasikumar, a common man transforms to save his family forms the rest of the story.
Director Sathashivaa has delivered an uncompromising revenge thriller. The protagonist will go to any extent to save his family.
The movie has gory violence which may not be suitable for all sections of the audience. The entire film is shouldered by Sasikumar.
He is terrifying in the action blocks and is impressive in the way in which he identifies the baddies with the sound.
Vikranth gets a strong introduction, however his role becomes cliched as the movie progresses.
The cat and mouse game between the antagonist and protagonist could have been even better.
The emotional sequences have worked out in parts. Ghibran’s background score elevates the action sequences. Raja Bhattacharjee’s camerawork is impressive.

Rating: 3.2/5
