My Dear Bootham

– Review

Ashwath is a kid who suffers from stammering issues and is troubled by the way in which he is trolled by his so-called friends, a teacher and the surroundings.
In comes Prabhudeva, a genie who is let loose by the kid, and helps turn around the things in his life.
My Dear Bootham’s storyline is straight out of the numerous tales we have seen as a kid, but the lively narration makes all the difference.
The performance of both Prabhu Deva and Ashwath turn out to be superb, and that keeps us engaged with the film.
Prabhu Deva’s numerous costume changeovers, funny histrionics and other things may turn out to be fun to watch for the kids.
Prabhudeva, who has often shown a flair for comedy, tries to elevate the material by giving his all, while Ashwath scores in the emotional moments, especially his monologue in the climax.
Imman’s music is neat, the same can be said about the technicalities too.

Rating: 3.5/5
