Maayon

– Review

A team of archaeologists visit a temple in Pudukkottai to research about an inscription.
The team later comes to know that there is a secret room in the temple which consists of a hidden treasure.
People of the village believe that supernatural events take place in the temple after sunset and hence no one goes inside the temple after that.
How did the team of archaeologists find the treasure and what happens to them forms the rest of the story.
Story and screenplay of the movie is written by Arunmozhi Manickam. Kishore has directed the flick.
While the story looks interesting on paper, the execution could have been better. While the first half is interesting, the second half becomes predictable after a point.
The CG works which occupy most of the second half could have been better. Performance wise, Sibi and Tanya have done their part well.
They are well supported by K S Ravikumar, Radha Ravi and Harish Paredi. Maestro Ilaiyaraja’s music is good.
Rating: 3.5/5
