Profit is not the motive

– Review

Jagapathi takes away the land of the farmers in Peruvayal village. Vijay Sethupathi returns to the village after several years and is shocked to see the situation.

Vijay Sethupathi decides to oppose Jagapathi Babu and wins in the farmers association election by defeating him.
The hero also gathers the farmers and educates them about community farming. What Jagapathi Babu does after this forms the crux of the story.
Vijay Sethupathi keeps mouthing dialogues about villages and the importance of farming throughout the movie. They are thought provoking. Shruthi Haasan who comes as a dancer delivers a neat performance.
Jagapathi comes as a corporate villain and does his part well. The rest of the cast including Kalaiyarasan, Ramesh Thilak and Dannie have all done their part in adequate manner.

Director SP Jhananathan has spoken about farming and the politics around it. Though there are touches of movies with similar themes the message has been conveyed effectively.

Rating : 4/5
