Complete family package
“Kudumbasthan”
– Review
Manikandan is the sole breadwinner of his family which consists of his wife Saanve Megghana, whom he eloped with and got married to, and his parents.
After a heated argument at work, and refusing to apologize for something he feels he hasn’t done wrong, Manikandan gets fired from his work. Boggled by family pressures and financial struggles, how he manages his life forms the crux.
Director Rajeshwar scores big time with ‘Kudumbasthan’ with its clean comedy, witty writing, and light-heartedness it comes with.
He knows how to use artists to their strengths, and that makes him a filmmaker to look forward to.
‘Kudumbasthan’ feels like that one film that caters to audiences of all age groups.
Manikandan has once again delivered an all-round performance. Be it the humour, family sentiment, responsible worker, situational liar, he has done complete justice to all the emotions.
Saanve Megghana has done a neat work on her debut movie with delivering the emotions in a natural manner.
Guru Somasundaram shines in his role as it is one of the highlights of the movie. All the other characters in the family, friends and workspace have all delivered what was expected from them to keep the proceedings engaging.
Music by Vaisagh fits well for the theme of the movie. Sujith Surbamaniam’s camerawork has captured the proceedings in an impressive manner. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.
